Close-Up: Echo Falwell

Meet Echo Falwell! Public Relations Intern for the Murray Convention & Visitors Bureau, Sophomore at Murray State University, and the biggest fan of U.S. Women’s Soccer!

How long have you lived in Murray?

My entire life, so about 20 years.

What is your favorite restaurant in Murray?

El Rancho on the weekends because they have the best tacos in town. La Cocina or Jasmine during the week…both are great places!

If you had $75 to spend in Murray, how would you spend it?

$75 is quite a lot…I would probably go to Kroger and buy a bunch of groceries. As a student, good food is a real luxury and that is predominantly how I treat myself when I have any extra money. The Downtown Murray Farmers Market would also be a great place to get local groceries, too!

What is your favorite Murray memory?

My favorite Murray memory would have to be while I was interning for Deana, Murray Main Street, when I was about 12 or 13. I got electrocuted while putting up Christmas lights. It was a funny experience that we all still laugh and talk about today. I don’t know if I would do it again, but it sure did make for a memorable time.

Describe Murray in 3 words to someone who has never visited.

Helpful, eccentric, festive.
