It’s officially Fall! Autumn is one of our favorite seasons here in the MIKY, from stunning outdoor views and fresh local treats to events with plenty of small-town fun; fall in Murray, Kentucky, is straight out of a storybook. And what’s fall without a pumpkin patch? We’ve compiled a guide to all five pumpkin patches located in Murray/Calloway County to help you find the perfect pumpkins, funky gourds, or mums for your front porch and home decor!
Jay's Pumpkin Patch (North Calloway)
A pumpkin patch that started as a means to help contribute to Jay's college fund, Jay's Pumpkin Patch has become one of the county’s most popular patches! Offering a variety of funky pumpkins and gourds at reasonable prices as well as weekly activities that get patrons in autumnal spirit, Jay’s is the perfect stop for a fall adventure.
You can visit this patch at 1141 Tucker Rd. in Kirksey, and be sure to keep an eye out at the Murray Downtown Farmers Market for Jays stunning seasonal mums!
Papa's Produce Barn (Southeast Calloway)
A not-so-traditional pumpkin patch, Papa's Produce Barn began as a fruit and vegetable stand managed with the help of the owner’s grandchildren. Now the barn serves as a hub for fresh produce and, at this time of the year, a sweet and festive pumpkin patch! During Papa’s self-serve pumpkin pick, you’ll find a unique variety of pumpkin and gourd choices! Don’t forget to make a pit stop inside the barn to find fresh, seasonal produce for all your fall recipes.
Find their barn at 2915 New Providence Rd. and browse their selection of fresh produce and specialty goods while you’re there!
Penny Pumpkin Patch (Northwest Calloway)
Browse the selection at Penny’s Pumpkin Patch and gather the family for festive photo opportunities scattered throughout the yard! Penny’s is a classic patch that makes you feel like you’re in a Hallmark movie every visit. The patch is open daily and self-serve, so it’s the perfect spot to squeeze in if you have a busy schedule.
This patch is located at 3138 Poor Farm Road, and be sure to keep updated with their social media to find out when they’re hosting events throughout the season!
Wright Farms Pumpkins (West Calloway)
Located right behind the family home, this warehouse has a wide selection of pumpkins organized on never-ending, colorful trailers. Find your perfect pumpkin while being greeted by friendly faces! Wright Farms also offers hay bales and corn stalks to level up your fall lawn decorations.
Located at 2241 Jones Sparkman Rd., just outside of town, this patch is the perfect stop for fall fun with small-town charm!
Wyatt Brothers Pumpkin Patch (Northwest Calloway)
The Wyatt Brothers Pumpkin Patch is a newer addition to our list, and each year their selection grows! Featuring trailers of jack-o’-lanterns, specialty pumpkins and plenty of colorful gourds, this patch is a stunning sight from a mile away.
This patch is located at 519 Kirksey Road and has an adorable variety of pumpkins in perfect autumnal colors to match any home’s fall color palette.
