1. Kentucky Kids Consignment Sale

Find deals on children's clothing, toys and necessities at the Kentucky Kids Consignment Sale. The 2016 sale is expected to be larger than ever. "We're expecting 450+ sellers and 50,000+ items to be available. We need lots of shoppers to come and give these gently used items new homes," said Jen Upton, organizer of the sale.

2. Easter egg hunts

The day before Easter brings a flurry of opportunities for the kids to hunt eggs. Between Easter on the Square, for ages 8 and under, or the Murray Egg Hunt at Central Park, there are tens of thousands of eggs up for grabs! There is even a hunt for our four-legged friends, hosted by the Humane Society of Calloway County.

3. Murray Half Marathon

The half marathon brings runners to Murray from all over the region. The event includes an expo, 5K and relay race. If you're not a runner, there are still ways to be involved, including cheering on the participants.

4. Art Hop

5. Playhouse After Dark Presents: Avenue Q, The Musical

This laugh-out-loud musical tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. He soon discovers that although the residents seem nice, it's clear that this is not your ordinary neighborhood. Tickets are available at the box office or at playhousemurray.org.

6. Citywide Yard Sale

Spring cleaning? Make some money off your goods at Murray's spring Citywide Yard Sale. Spots are available at Central Park for anyone who doesn't have a prime yard sale location. Maps will be available for sale at the Murray Convention and Visitors Bureau for $2 May 5-7.

7. Downtown Farmers Market

On Saturday mornings, the court square comes to life as vendors and farmers setup for the market. Downtown is filled with produce and goods for sale, which are all made and grown locally. Support your local farmers and eat fresh by visiting this weekly event.
