1. Visit the Downtown Murray Farmers Market

Every Saturday (7:00am-noon) the Downtown Murray Farmers Market will open up and greet you with the freshest produce, cutest homemade gifts, and delicious baked goods. Start your Saturday morning off right by venturing to downtown, and supporting your local farmers! 2. Follow the Calloway County Barn Quilt Trail

Did you know that spread throughout Calloway County is a trail of gorgeous barn quilts? With our easy to follow map, you will be able to venture through the countryside and explore our county, while finding each barn quilt! Trail Guides are available at the Murray Convention and Visitors Bureau, 206 South 4th St. Grab a friend, pack a snack, and go on your journey!

3. Attend a Maple Street Market Cooking Class

Maple Street Market in Downtown Murray offers cooking classes for all ages! The owner, Shanna Smith, features three different courses: the lil’ chef series (ages 5-7 with an adult), junior chef series (ages 8-14), and the adult classes! 4. Enjoy a Playhouse in the Park Performance

This summer, Playhouse in the Park will be showing three different plays: James and the Giant Peach, American Idiot, and Aladdin! 5. Take a Group Bike Ride with Gear Up Cycles

Enjoy the fresh air by going for a group cycle through Murray! Gear Up Cycles plans group bike rides every Saturday morning, but features weekday trips, too! Visit their Facebook page to be aware of all their group cycling trips!

6. Visit Downtown Murray for their "Movies on the Square" Series

This year is an exciting one for Downtown Murray! Various Saturdays throughout the summer, Murray Main Street will host a different movie featuring a giant movie screen right on the court square! Here is the lineup:

June 1- Angels in the Outfield

June 8- Jurassic Park

June 22- Shrek 1

July 13- The Santa Claus

July 27- Jaws

7. Spend your Fourth of July at Freedom Fest

Freedom Fest is Murray’s way of celebrating Independence Day! This is a full day deal- start your morning with the Boy Scout Troop 45 Memorial Breakfast, head to Main Street for the parade, and end the night while watching the firework show! There are many events sprinkled throughout the day as well, so be sure to follow the Freedom Fest Facebook page to catch a full schedule of the day!

8. Get Creative with a Murray Art Guild Workshop

9. Get Active While Playing Foot Golf or Disc Golf

Itching to get outside and get active? Lucky for you, Murray has multiple ways you can do so, like playing Foot Golf or Disc Golf! The Foot Golf course is located in Chestnut Park, and the Disc Golf Course is in Central Park! Grab your team, and get golfing!

10. Enjoy the Town and Gown Community Band

This year, the Murray Town and Gown Community Band will be hosting a FREE concert at the Rotary Amphitheater in Central Park! This concert will take place on June 4th at 7 pm. Can’t make it?
