Bacon in the Sun
All amateur, backyard grillers may submit his or her creations in the poultry, ribs or dessert categories. Cooking begins at 6 a.m. Friday, June 29.
Street Fair
A two-day event featuring a variety of vendors that include arts and crafts, delicious food, and lots of entertainment.
Lake Chem and K98 Red, White & Blue Block Party
Things heat up when a variety of performers take the stage downtown for a free concert.
Kid's Zone
Parents bring their kids out to enjoy numerous inflatables as well as other fun activities Friday and Saturday during the Street Fair. Located at the block of 5th and Maple, admission is free.
FNB Freedom Fest Parade
Often called "the world's largest small-town parade," the Freedom Fest parade is a salute to our nation's independence. This year, teachers will be honored as the grand marshals of the parade. The Freedom Fest board wanted to honor all teachers and educators for all they do
to build a foundation of patriotism and citizenship in our youth. The grand marshals are followed by a long line of spirited floats, cars and candy! The parade will kick off at 9:30
Saturday morning; the route goes from 10th and Main to the Briggs & Stratton parking lot.
Family Day in the Park
Pony rides, inflatables, a clown, face painting and water balloon fights are just a few of the fun activities taking place during Family Day in the Park. Free drinks and hot dogs will be served and non-profit vendors will line the park with different family activities. This event takes place Sunday, July 3rd from 3-6 p.m.
The Murray Bank Gospel Explosion
Freedom Fest goes out with a bang as worshippers of all denominations come together to hear moving gospel music. The community is invited to come together and celebrate the Fourth with the sounds of inspiration from local musicians. This concert is free to the public and lasts from 5:30-8 p.m on Sunday.
