Once again, it's fun, food and fireworks time! This year's Freedom Fest will be a little different than year's past, but is guaranteed to still be the biggest and best celebration in Calloway County. The festival kicks off Friday evening with a street fair full of various vendors and a free outdoor concert. The fun continues Saturday with the FNB Bank Parade, Kids' Zone, Primary Care 5K and the Main Street Mile. Saturday night, enjoy one of western Kentucky's largest fireworks displays, the Briggs and Stratton Fireworks Extravaganza. Also Saturday and new for 2013 is Family Night in the Park, where you can watch the fireworks after a fun-filled evening of music, food and kids' activities. Most all the Freedom Fest activities are free, so grab the whole family and come to Murray for a patriotic celebration.
