The first weekend in September is the Ice Cream Festival. Chestnut Park welcomes families for carnival rides, a homemade ice cream contest, free ice cream and a firework show.

 

R/C Aircraft Fly-in

On August 18-19  (9am-5pm), come out to Erwin Field and enjoy a weekend of radio-controlled aircraft demonstrations! In addition to the show, the Murray R/C Modelers give audience members a chance to fly the models on the buddy box (Register for the following Saturday).

Watch the sawdust fly at the Kentucky Lumberjack Challenge! Champions, amateurs and even audience members compete in the axe throw, stock saws, crosscut sawing and chopping.

TRAIL OF TREATS

Trail of Treats is a safe, fun way to celebrate Halloween. After a pumpkin carving contest, costume contest and  crafts, little goblins can hop on a hayride or trick-or- treat along a spooky trail.

DICKENS ALLEY

Downtown Murray becomes 17th century London the first weekend in December. The candle lit street fair boast baked goods, unique gifts and carolers in period costume.

Summer heats up with Freedom Fest, Murray’s premier Fourth of July celebration the first weekend in July.  Freedom Fest celebrates our country’s freedom with a street fair, a family day in the park, a country music concert featuring major country stars, an outdoor gospel music concert and a fireworks display that is one of the largest in Western Kentucky.
